How to make your blog more popular. How to create your own blog. Time and work

Today, almost every person on this planet has a blog. But only some become famous and successful thanks to their blog, while others never gain popularity. Why is this happening? What needs to be done to attract as many subscribers as possible and achieve a high ranking? Below are tips that will help make your blog relevant and popular.

Never stop learning

Every new word you write will teach you something new. Running a successful blog requires a wide range of skills. You must be able to write well, know the basics of marketing, SEO, and more. To be at the top of the search rankings, you must be a well-rounded person and be able to present new and exclusive information to your readers.

Be real

Find yourself

Write, write and write again. Decide what your goals are and how you plan to achieve them. Write about topics that interest you and issues that really concern you.

Being unpredictable is the key to being interesting. Surprise your readers. Surprise yourself. If what you wrote made you laugh, or, conversely, “cringe” in fear, then you are moving in the right direction. The emotions you experience should also be experienced by your reader.

Be original

Even if the topic you're passionate about isn't unique, don't despair. Try presenting it in a new way, in different words. Look at it from the other side, expand your horizons, forget about the framework of standard thinking.

Provide evidence

When you provide any information, it must be supported by facts. In order for people to read and appreciate your blog, you must earn a certain amount of authority.

Cover "hot" events

Write about what is happening in the world today and how these events affect you and your readers. This way people will know that you: a) do not live in a “cave”; b) you have your own opinion; c) you are interested in something else other than your own blog. This is an effective way to attract as many readers as possible and make your content relevant.

Write consistently and regularly

A blogger must regularly publish new posts, otherwise readers will quickly “switch” to another information resource. It is not necessary to create a specific schedule and strictly follow it. It is enough to write new messages two to three times a week. But if you can write every day, then that’s just great. In addition, you must be consistent in your thoughts, try not to contradict yourself.

Read

Open and read other people's blogs and websites every day. This will not only help you learn and learn something new, but it can also help you find a topic that you will not only be interested in reading about, but also want to dedicate your own blog to.

Don't mislead your readers

If you want your blog not only to be viewed, but also to be read, then you should not deceive your readers, disappoint them with catchy headlines, the information under which is completely useless and uninteresting.

Write in simple language

If you are a certified specialist and write on topics that directly relate to your profession, then you should not throw around terms and meanings in the text that are understandable only to a narrow circle of readers. Write in simple and understandable language. People love to learn new things, but too many unfamiliar words will turn off most readers.

Links

Pictures and videos

Don’t forget to “dilute” the text with pictures or videos. Readers love to be distracted by looking at photos or interesting videos.

Promotion

Share your blog on numerous social networks. Publish information and links to the pages of other bloggers on your website, it is quite possible that they will answer you in the same way.

Take time to edit

If the texts you write contain many spelling and grammatical errors, then a blog, despite all its uniqueness, will not be able to attract educated and intellectually developed people. Work on errors, check and edit each of your proposals before making it publicly available.

Quality = quantity

Do not publish information in fits and starts. It would be better to have a voluminous, meaningful article that fully reveals a given topic than several posts that individually do not carry any semantic load. Yes, the more publications, the higher the ranking in search engines, but are you willing to sacrifice quality in order to move up a couple of lines in the search bar? Moreover, it is not a fact that the number of your subscribers will increase.

Tags

The right tags and keywords will help increase traffic to your blog.

Pay attention to message length

Typically, in order for information to be recognized by a search engine, you need to write about 300 words, remember this. It is advisable that your articles be written in the same format and be approximately the same length. This way, regular readers coming to your page will know what to “expect” from the blog.

Don't be afraid to take risks

Get out of your comfort zone. Don't be afraid to learn something new. If you have a new interesting idea, don’t give it up, take a risk. Of course, when you leave your comfort zone, you will feel unusual and awkward. This feeling must pass. But if suddenly the idea that you intended to bring to life turned out to be beyond your capabilities, and nothing worked out, then do not despair. Life provides thousands of opportunities. The main thing is not to be afraid of difficulties.

Feedback

Give access to comments on your page, let readers share their feedback and opinions about the information you publish. Respond to reader comments and engage in dialogue with them. It is quite possible that they will inspire you to search for new information and write new posts.

Naturally, when you provide the right to comment to your readers, you cannot avoid stupid and meaningless messages from users who want to humiliate or insult you. You shouldn’t pay attention to them; stupid and envious people are into this activity. And if trolls start visiting your blog, it means that you have taken the first step towards success and popularity. This is a reason for joy, not for sadness.

Use lists

Readers love lists. When they see a number in the title title and understand that the article will present information in the form of a list, the likelihood that they will read your message increases significantly. Most people, of course, will not read the entire article, but will only “go through” the names of the list markers, but today this method of presenting information has become very popular, and it should be used.

Many Internet users maintain their own blogs, and naturally everyone strives to ensure that his blog is popular among readers.

Often you have to face the problem: “How to increase traffic to your blog? How to make a blog popular?

An experienced webmaster will tell you that you need to drive traffic to the site, but attracting traffic to the site is a difficult task, and free traffic to the site is generally difficult to achieve now.

How to attract traffic to a website, how to increase traffic to a website is a headache for young blogs. But what you need is targeted traffic to the site.

Otherwise, your blog, especially if it is a business blog, is doomed to vegetate without any opportunity. Since promoting a website based on traffic is not an easy thing, sometimes you will need to buy traffic to the website.

You can buy traffic to the site on a traffic exchange, such as traffstock.ru, trafsell.com, good-traf.ru. But this is already the highest matters of blogging.

First of all, any novice blogger needs to know that you need to correctly decide on the topic. It is most important.

And if the user does not stand out from the rest in any way, then why should readers move from one place to another in search of the same information.

That is, you must have your own thoughts and views, you should constantly think, pose the necessary problem and try to solve it competently.

People reading your article should be interested in this, they should understand that this does not exist anywhere.

This should hook the reader, which not every novice blogger succeeds in doing. To make your blog look systematized and make it convenient for readers, mark all audio or video material with tags.

Stick to your style by using different keywords that catch your eye, but don't overuse them.

Someone else's content on the blog

If you still sometimes take material from other Internet resources, then you should indicate the appropriate link leading to this original article.

As a result, this will lead to that resource linking to your article, thereby increasing the popularity of your blog. In addition, in order to somehow, it will be useful to use special programs.

Constantly update the information, people like to read the latest. Communicate more with your readers and authors of other publications. All this will have a positive impact on your page in the future.

Constantly maintain intrigue, come up with various competitions and promotions, lure readers into a “trap”.

If they remain impressed, they will visit your blog more and more often. After all, your task is to ensure that you have constant ones.

Keep in mind that there will often be those who write negative reviews of your articles. Feel free to accept such criticism, because indeed those who are interested in your information do not care about other people’s opinions.

Reliability of information on the blog

Try to always write the truth. Thanks to this, you will rise in the eyes of readers and earn some authority than someone who constantly writes all sorts of nonsense, promising a fairy tale.

Constantly develop, you should have a lot of ideas in your head, you need to know in advance everything that needs to happen. Be prepared for the possibility that your articles will be stolen.

Don’t be upset, this is a sure sign that you are on the right path of development, because they don’t take information from just anyone.

People will still not leave your page, since you will have a bunch of such articles, unique in style and original in genre.
Try, study, and you will definitely come to!

Getting people to read your blog = more traffic. There are many ways to achieve growth, however, the most valuable ones are those who read the blog and come back several more times. To earn such readers, your blog must become “readable”.

So, how to make your blog read.

1. Headings

The headings of your article are the basis for the reader’s decision to continue following the link or not. A bad headline often means an article that no one has read. Try to stick to 5-7 words in your title. Try to fill the title with the exact meaning of what your article is about. The words “How, Where, What” work well in the title.

2. Have 100 friends

There are many ways to inspire (or force :)) readers to communicate within a blog and comment on posts. It's a full-time job. You need to become friends with readers and stay in constant contact, and you also need to “make friends” or quarrel commentators, then they will become interested in your blog. Make any emotion except neutral.

3. 300-600 word rule

It’s already a well-known fact that any blogger should use. The average blog reader doesn't read articles longer than 600 words. If your post is 1000 words, then the first thing that can scare him away is the volume of the post, and he will not start reading at all, or his interest will cool off in the middle of your post, and you have put a meaning into your article that will be clear only after reading 1000 words Both options are obviously not satisfactory.
This does not mean that all posts should be identical in volume, just don’t “spill over the tree”, try to think about the readers and give them only interesting information.

4. Your reader is your master

Try to write each post on a specific topic, analyzing the topic, or discussing the future of a specific product. “Water” - no matter how beautifully you embellish it, they will only read it once and will not return.

5. Correct presentation and format

Everything ingenious is simple. Simple interface, not shocking to the eyes, simple language, no grammatical errors. Also try to write short paragraphs as a long paragraph is difficult to read.

6. Blog topic

Stick strictly to the blog topic. Don’t create a post about the mysterious country of India, and then a post about proper feeding of dolphins. Create two blogs dedicated to these topics and you won't lose a focus group of your blog's readers.

7. Frequency of publications

Determine the frequency of publishing posts. Readers like to understand the frequency of new posts so they can come back to read the blog. Publishing hourly is not necessary, but if you decide to publish articles every other day, then this should be the rule.

8. Uniqueness

People, even in large numbers following your blog, are not fools. And make sure of this if you start publishing texts that have been copied or poorly converted from other resources. Readers will leave you in search of a unique product.

9. Time and work

Get ready to work hard for the benefit of your blog (you need to copyright the phrase;)). The desired result rarely comes quickly. Treat your blog like a flower that needs to be looked after, given sunlight (registered in directories, created groups on social networks), watered (receive links from other blogs), fertilized (publish unique content) and constantly thought about. so that the positive energy of all living things is concentrated on your “flower”.

10. Rules

Break the rules, come up with your own unique story and tell the world about it.

Try to focus on these 10 tips and work hard, this is your advantage. Constant implementation of these tips plus constant work on yourself will give a positive result.

Anyone can literally make their blog a bestseller. You don't need to be a genius to do this! Most bloggers on LiveJournal do not use even 50 percent of their capabilities, losing readers and not increasing their popularity! Use 9 golden rules that will allow you to get your blog development off the ground and gain recognition and respect.

I won’t say that these rules will make you popular right away. No, you'll have to work a little harder. But focused efforts will help you achieve noticeable results in a maximum of a month.

This is not an unfounded statement: I created my blog on July 1 of this year, and without investing a penny, already on September 2 I entered the first thousand LiveJournal bloggers. And for some reason I continue to grow, currently occupying 349th place in the overall ranking... Use my experience and become popular! Improve yourself, your blog and LJ in general! Go…

First. First of all, you have to love LiveJournal! It will seem paradoxical to you that I put this thesis in first place, but believe me, it’s true! Love LiveJournal with all your heart, with all its shortcomings, this is a unique place in RuNet for communication, creating content and popularizing it among readers! LiveJournal is a rich fair of news, reflections, ideas, scandals, emotions that spill out to the broadest masses every day. LJ is a whole new life in virtual space.

Fall in love with Zhuzha - and only then what you do here will give you true pleasure.

Second. The basis of any blog is content. What makes a blog a place where readers enjoy coming? You and your posts. Make your posts truly interesting, exciting, vibrant and unconventional. Look for themes in everyday life - ideas are in the air everywhere, take them and write. Surprise, excite the reader - emotions, feelings should fill your writing. A dull blog will not be able to become popular; it will, of course, gather a certain audience of whiners, but it will be a funny and pathetic sight.

Third. Regularity of posts. Don't console yourself with the thought that writing a couple of times a week is normal. No, there is nothing wrong with that if you keep your journal for yourself. But if you want to be popular, you need to write at least once a day, preferably twice. For starters, it’s enough to publish one post every day. The reader develops the habit of visiting your blog, for him it becomes a daily need - this is a kind of analogue of information addiction.

Do not take long breaks in publishing entries. In case of force majeure life circumstances, warn readers about a pause - they will appreciate it. If you have a release schedule, make a few postponed ones. You will be absent - and posts will appear. In this case, also warn readers that you will not be able to communicate with them or respond to comments for some time. Silent disappearance from the horizon of LiveJournal is disrespect for your audience.

Fourth. Thematic diversity on the blog. A narrowly themed blog can be popular to a certain extent. Having reached a certain limit in development, such blogs stop growing. To further develop and attract new friends, you need to start writing on other topics that interest you. Expand your thematic horizons, write a few test posts on topics that concern you - and see how your audience reacts. My blog is quite specific in terms of the chosen topic - this is a blog about LiveJournal itself! - but for the sake of variety, I also occasionally write about myself, about my problems, including family ones, about funny stories from life. Readers treat this quite favorably and with understanding: the author is also a human being, and nothing human is alien to him! Here it is important to maintain a certain proportion and reasonable limits.

Fifth. Popularity means that your blog is being read. Based on this, at the very beginning you should make some efforts to attract a readership to your blog. If no one comes to your blog, who will read your posts?!

Our readers are first and foremost our friends. Only later, when the blog becomes popular, will those who see you in the top posts on the main page of LiveJournal come to you. These same readers read the blog if you start buying promos on the main page or magazine promos now. But 99% of them will read your promotional post and never come back. Therefore, the basis of the success or failure of a blog is your friends who periodically read your posts. They create the base traffic on which the magazine rests. If there are few friends, few people read you, if there are many of them, more people read you. As friends grow, the popularity of the blog and its position in the ranking almost always increase.

Constant work to attract friends is an urgent need for those who want to become a popular blogger in LiveJournal. I wrote a lot about how to attract friends, what techniques and methods to use, in my “” section.

Sixth. Design of your blog. To make your blog look cozy and attractive, look at it from the outside through the eyes of the reader. What's bad about it? What's annoying? This is actually a very, very important question. An outwardly indigestible blog is annoying and does not make you want to return to it again. Few people will add such a blog as a friend - perhaps just for show.

Seventh. Posting. Also a very important element of blogging! Write simply, be sure to unify all texts and pictures - constant improvisations with fonts and picture sizes are killing the blog. I wrote about this in some detail in the same post yesterday:

Eighth. Activity on other people's blogs. Be sure to comment on your friends' blogs - and more! Periodically visit magazines that interest you and leave comments. Firstly, seeing your remarks, someone will definitely visit your blog and add you as a friend. Secondly, comments are the most important element and means of communication in LiveJournal, revealing your person to the world. Give yourself time to comment on blogs - at least an hour a day. This is an amazingly effective way to express yourself!

Ninth. There is, of course, another, much faster way to become popular. If you have money, you can buy tokens and promote your blog with it. An important nuance must be taken into account here. By buying promos, you will quickly reach the top of the rankings, but your popularity will be inflated. Once the money runs out, your blog will be empty, there will be no one to read it. Therefore, in any case, promotion must be combined with work to attract friends.

I already wrote about promotion strategies not very long ago, but from a slightly different perspective. Soon I’ll tell you about the most effective algorithm for promoting beginner blogs and blogs with low social networks.

P.S. My blog is the only magazine in LiveJournal about... LiveJournal itself. Do you want to keep abreast of all LJ news, scandals, and promotion methods? Let's be friends! I add everyone as friends - in response, and immediately!))
